pumpkin harvest

So we have a few pumpkins at the moment. Ummm, just a few. These were grown down in my Dad's orchard over the summer. Remember the ones we've been keeping an eye on?  Well, they tend to go wild and multiply.

I know I'm going to be sick of the taste of pumpkin in a couple of months time. The challenge is always on to come up with new and exciting ways to eat it!

Any ideas? What do you guys make with pumpkin?

  3. I bake all the pumpkins and divide them in small portions inside the freezer. Then i use it for soups, gnochis, etc. I get tired of pumpkin if i eat it more than twice in a week ... so hahahaha Freezer is the best option for me.

  12. I love pumpkin!!!!! I can't remember if you eat dairy but we love these milkshakes - http://www.ourbestbites.com/2009/09/pumpkin-pie-milkshake/ I also make a lot of pumpkin soup. Soup and ice cream are two of my favorite foods! Throw in popcorn and tea and I am all set.

  13. I replied to your comment in my "slow living post" and put the chocolate fudge recipe there. Seriously it takes 10 mins from start to finish including all the measuring and then pop it into the fridge. Go check it out in the comments section.
